Exciting New Policy Announcement for Waikapu Danceworks
Aloha, Waikapu Danceworks family!
We are thrilled to share some important updates that will help us continue to provide a safe, supportive, and structured environment for all our pole students. Effective June 1st, 2024, we are implementing a new policy to ensure that every student receives the foundational skills necessary for a successful and enjoyable pole journey.
New Policy Details:
Starting June 1st, 2024, all new pole students must complete one of the following prerequisites before enrolling in any additional pole classes or series:
- 6-Week Intro Pole Series
- Nibbler/Discover Pole Class
- Intro Pole Class
- Instructor Permission
This policy applies to all mixed, intermediate, and advanced pole classes and series, including but not limited to:
- Mixed Level Pole Fitness
- Pole Conditioning
- Pole Choreo Series
- Inversions Series
- Climbs & Combos
- Spinning Pole
- Additional Pole Workshops, where specified
Why This Policy?
We believe that establishing a strong foundation is crucial for the safety and progress of our students. By ensuring that all new students start with the basics, we can:
- Promote proper technique and form.
- Reduce the risk of injury.
- Build a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide a clear progression path for all students.
What This Means for You
If you are a new student eager to dive into our pole classes, you’ll start with one of our introductory options. These classes are designed to give you the fundamental skills and confidence you need to succeed in more advanced classes. Once you complete one of our prerequisistes, you’ll be invited to join our other variety of class, series, and workshop options.
Current students who have already taken introductory classes or have been granted instructor permission will not be affected by this change. However, we encourage everyone to review their skills and consider revisiting an intro class to refine their techniques.
