Waikapu Danceworks is Now Maui’s Premier Teacher Training Center

We’re thrilled to announce that Waikapu Danceworks is now officially recognized as a Teacher Training Center — right here in Central Maui!

As Maui’s premier fitness, dance, and aerial studio, we’ve always been passionate about movement, strength, and community. Now, we’re expanding that mission to include education and mentorship, offering accredited teacher training programs for those ready to grow as leaders in movement, fitness, and wellness.

Empowerment Through Education

Our Teacher Training Center provides certification opportunities for both aspiring and experienced instructors who want to deepen their skills, expand their teaching repertoire, and grow professionally.

“What makes this especially exciting,” says Felicia Chernicki-Wulf, Owner and Director of Waikapu Danceworks, “is that all of our trainings come with no contracts and no non-compete clauses. Many studios restrict where instructors can teach after certification — but at Waikapu Danceworks, we believe in freedom, community, and collaboration. Our goal is to help you grow, not limit where you shine.”

2026 Teacher Training Lineup

We’re bringing a variety of world-class certifications to Maui in the first half of 2026 — and each program is open to participants from near and far.

• Buti® Sculpt + Bands + Hotcore Certification – January 3–4
  A high-energy, dynamic fusion of strength, resistance, and core-focused training that redefines what it means to move with power.
• Shakti Yoga Teacher Training – January/February (Dates TBD)
  A soulful journey into yoga, mindfulness, and feminine embodiment — designed to strengthen both your practice and your teaching.
• Aerial Yoga Teacher Training – February 6–8
  Learn the art and technique of aerial yoga with a comprehensive certification designed for safety, creativity, and confidence in the air.
• Buti® Certification – 3 Day Immersion – March 26–30
  Dive deep into the Buti® method in this immersive experience blending yoga, plyometrics, and primal movement to unlock your inner power.
• Liquid Motion® 1.0 Certification – June 12–14
  Explore the fundamentals of Liquid Motion® and learn how to teach this sensual, athletic, and grounded movement practice with confidence.

Each training combines expert instruction, hands-on learning, and industry-recognized certification in a supportive, inclusive environment.

In addition to our own offerings, Waikapu Danceworks partners with certifying organizations and master trainers who want to bring their programs to Maui.

Our fully equipped facility, central island location, and vibrant movement community make us the ideal host studio for workshops, intensives, and certifications across all modalities.
