Introducing Pod Squads! Grab Your Crew, Save Together, and Chase the Pod Cup
We all know the secret to actually showing up for class: someone waiting for you there.
So we’re making it official. Pod Squads are small teams of 2 to 5 WD students who save together, show up together, and compete together for bragging rights, a private party, and the very first Pod Cup Trophy.
Sign-ups open at our Spooky Student Showcase on Friday, October 23, and run through December 1.
How Pod Squads work
- Build your pod. Grab 1 to 4 friends for a team of 2 to 5 people.
- Anyone who takes class with us can join. Members, class-pack regulars, drop-in folks: you’re all in.
- Sign up as a team. Your pod registers at the studio with every teammate listed together. Not everyone has to be there in person.
- Choose your crew wisely. Once you sign up for a pod, you’re in it for the whole season. No switching teams mid-competition.
- Lock in your team name. Pods have until December 1 to submit an official team name, and the winning pod’s name goes on the Pod Cup Trophy for good. Pick something you’ll be proud to see there. Puns strongly encouraged.
- No purchase necessary. Joining a pod is free. It’s just more fun as a squad.

Once your pod is official, you unlock group discounts on WD 5-packs and 10-packs during Black Friday weekend (November 27 and 28). The bigger your pod, the bigger the savings for everyone in it:

Each person can buy their own discounted pack, or your pod can share one pack as a group. Form your pod before Black Friday, and you’re ready to cash in the second the sale opens.
The competition: January 1 to March 31
Starting January 1, every class you take earns points for your pod. We’ll also run fun challenges along the way. The top pod wins a private party at the studio and gets their name on the Pod Cup Trophy.
January is also our 5th birthday, and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate than a studio full of teams cheering each other on.
